The investment in diverse-owned media in the industry increased 9% from 2022 to 2023—equal to $160MM in 1 year.
The diverse publishers that participated in the 2023 GrowthFronts increased by four times as much—equal to 34% in one year, a collective incremental revenue of $449 million for the 40 entities alone.
72% of the industry AdSpend realized from 2022–2023 was generated from diverse media that participated in the AIMM GrowthFronts.
Asian-owned media showed the largest YOY AdSpend increase of $87 million or 25% growth; this was followed by an increase in Black media with $55 million incremental dollars allocated to this segment. Hispanic-owned media lagged significantly behind with $8 million or +4% increase; LGBTQ witnessed a $3 million increase for their segment or 11% growth.

AIMM increased the number of buyers from 2023 to 2024 by 2.2x and the number of buying groupings by 2.7%. Our expectation is that these increases will undoubtedly lead to a greater increase in investment.
