BIG3 is more than just a professional 3-on-3 basketball league – sitting at the intersection of sports, music, culture, and social change, it’s a stage to celebrate hoops and Hip-Hop heritage, an amplifier for live entertainment, a shared experience for families and fans of all ages, a proving ground for elite athletes and coaches, and most importantly, a platform designed to bring real impact to underserved and diverse communities across the country.
Beginning with Season 8 in 2025, BIG3 will transition from a touring format to a city-based franchise model with respected ownership groups buying teams and putting down roots in home markets like Los Angeles, Miami, Detroit, and Houston. This will enable BIG3 to amplify its mission in key urban markets, bettering these cities through the game of basketball while engaging local fanbases like never before.

In an extremely competitive summer television market due to the Olympics, BIG3 achieved its most-viewed season ever in 2024. On CBS, the league averaged 455,000 viewers across all ten weeks and averaged 512,000 during non-Olympic weeks. Across all X games in 2024, the league reached 18 million unique viewers and garnered 32 million total video views (sources = Nielsen and X). On the social media front, BIG3 accumulated over 392M total impressions across BIG3, Ice Cube, and third-party social handles during the course of its 3-month season (June - August). Over 25M of these impressions were generated on behalf of BIG3 advertising clients through dedicated highlight posts and custom content extensions. Overall, BIG3 has over 1.6M followers, while its owner Ice Cube has 60M followers across his platforms, which he uses constantly to promote BIG3 Basketball. BIG3 players and coaches also have a combined 20M social followers, bringing BIG3’s total base of social followers to well over 75M. Through strategic partnerships with established basketball accounts, such as Ballislife, the number one basketball lifestyle brand in the US, BIG3 reached young, digitally savvy, and often short attention-spanned viewers where they already are. The season 7 campaign with Ballislife generated more than 120 million impressions with a 5% engagement rate. 44 posts Ballislife made accumulated more than 1M impressions, with 12 of those posts reaching more than 2M impressions. From an on-site perspective, BIG3 recorded its highest attendance total since Covid. Across a mixture of NBA, other professional sports (i.e. hockey), and college arenas, attendance averaged 10,000 fans at each stop with several sellouts including Newark, San Antonio, and Boston.
