AIMM’s Diverse Media GrowthFronts Puts Words Into Action. As an industry, we must increase our investment levels in diverse owned and diverse targeted media. WE’VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT DOING THIS FOR TOO LONG, AND YET, WE’VE ONLY INCHED FORWARD. By bringing together diverse owned and targeted media entities with buyers and marketers, AIMM hopes to close the gap between intent and action.

We had an amazing time at the GrowthFronts yesterday! Thank you so much for creating such a necessary and impactful event. The conversations were heartfelt and informative, and the attendees were genuinely there to create and inspire change.

I wanted to reach out to thank the whole GrowthFronts team for such an energizing, inspiring, and productive last few days. I was so honored to represent Autostraddle to all the attendees — and it was so refreshing to find those attendees so open to (and excited about!) working with a diverse-owned and diverse-targeted media publication such as ourselves. I have high hopes that these conversations will translate into some real deals for Autostraddle — and I truly have all of you to thank for that!
First of all, my sincerest Thank You for putting this all together - History was definitely made with this first GrowthFronts event, which we hope will be the first of many, until they are no longer needed.
For us it was a great opportunity to get in front of brands and ad agencies for the first time, to let them know about our company and our plans for the future. Having the brands present there, and the conversations not being relegated to only the agencies, was especially important in making sure our messages were heard by those who needed to hear it.

We are feeling blessed and honored to have been included in the first Diverse Owned & Targeted Media Growth Fronts. Thank you to ANA AIMM for including us in the discussions with Renetta McCann (Publicis Groupe), Devon Christopher Johnson (BleuLife), Kerel Cooper (Group Black), Bree Kellum Balogun (REVOLT), and Royal Jackson (Impact Network).
The event was a positive forum for brands, agencies and DOTMs to connect and go beyond the “pitch” and begin to have meaningful two-way conversations. We left feeling inspired, educated, and hopeful for the future of emerging diverse platforms and true partnerships with brands and marketers.

Last week's event was truly energizing and definitely what the industry has been needing for quite some time. It was great to be invited and to have the opportunity to meet with brands and agencies in person (quite refreshing after all the video-ing during the pandemic).
It's no small feat to put together such an event and we wanted to take a moment to appreciate your team's dedication in securing minority owned companies have access to decision makers. We got very positive feedback after our meetings. We are now going for the investment!

Congratulations on making history this week!
Your work was breakthrough for all of us, providing unprecedented access to high level client and agency meetings that would have taken months to organize on our own if at all.
In addition, DEI also seemed to have finally arrived from a politically correct check box to an integral part of anyone’s planning interested in positive outcomes in 2023 and beyond. You provided the perfect backdrop to allow that reality to settle in.
Finally, all of the above was accomplished within an environment that felt more like a family reunion (at least if you’ve been around as long as I have!!) than a trade event that only added to a sense of having goals in common and sense of cooperation.
Your work was breakthrough for all of us, providing unprecedented access to high level client and agency meetings that would have taken months to organize on our own if at all.

We at Mundial Media commend you for taking action on behalf of diverse-owned media and creating an opportunity for us to meet with brands and agency partners and discuss partnership opportunities. With less than 3% of funding going to Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs, your bias to action helps equal the playing field. Diverse-owned media faces many headwinds, and we need your advocacy and support. I encourage you to continue your mission as we see diverse-owned media as the industry’s growth engine.

As LGBTQ+ people, we are often marginalized and overlooked for opportunities because we are different. We share this struggle with other minority groups. At Growthfronts our differences were celebrated, our voices were raised, and we began the journey of moving toward more inclusiveness in advertising through support of Diverse Owned Media. We so appreciate all the brands and agencies who attended, met with us and shared their journey as diverse marketers. The next step for all of us is to take action! We look forward to continuing to do our work to keep diverse voices vital, and to growing our partnership with AIMM.

We were honored to be one of the 40 media companies spotlighted at the Association of National Advertisers’s ANA AIMM (Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing) first ever Diverse Owned & Targeted Media GrowthFronts last week, with Publicis as a Visionary Sponsor of the event. COCINA was overwhelmed and grateful for the influx of meeting requests. The energy in the space was electric, the days were action packed, and the outcome was wildly productive.
In a monumental step forward for the industry, this event brought together media owners, advertisers and agencies to transact in a deliberate and powerful way with a clear goal from AIMM: "to increase investment into diverse owned and targeted media [from 1.2%] to a minimum of 4% by its 2025 GrowthFronts."

The Growthfronts was one of the sincerest endeavors we've experienced in forging ahead diversity in the media industry. This was a safe space given to authentic thought and voices within the industry which we believe will lead to greater solutions to the challenges publishers and partners are facing and provide new opportunities for everyone moving forward. The Growthfronts cut through the clutter, by organizing real connections with brands and diverse owned media properties, such as Impact Network. You can tell that the organizations, publishers and brands who participated, did so with real care and that was the difference maker!
